The Band's visit.

It's 1.30 in the night...I had dozed off in the evening. I thought of watching a movie in netflix until I get to sleep again...the usual routine..
The movie's name is "The Band's visit" by some Israeli Director... the promos looked good but the movie was just so..so... Akka had read my previous post and said that she couldn't make the connection.. it seems that I wrote better during school days.. Looks like the intended memoir turned out to be a diary entry.. Either my sister has become ultra emotional over the years or it was truly a bland post.. like the food we had at Ahimsa(no salt, no oil.. all natural and it sucked :( ).. Coming back to the movie...
It is about an Egyptian Police Band which ends up at the wrong place.. Ben Atikvah instead of ....XYZ? The rest of the movie is about the time they spend there. As I had mentioned the movie is just ok. Probably if I was from middle east or understood the Arab-Israeli conflict I could have appreciated the movie better. The thing I liked about the movie... the background score and the lack of it.. 3/4 of the movie is filled with silence.. with spurts of Arab/Israeli music..It had a moody feel...lot of pain.. I liked the Israeli accent of the actress who in my opinion was.. well.. beautiful!...

Probably I am too shallow when it comes to emotions.. just skim through surface kinda person. Anyway.. It's movie to be watched sipping a glass of wine with your girlfriend by the side. If you don't drink and don't have a girlfriend.. Imagine it(not the drink).. Feel it(Girlfriend by your side)... After all it is about emotions right?
