Was it Arianna Huffington on the Daily Show.. Probably it was some scene in Varanam Ayiram...maybe the recent Mumbai attacks...naah.... I will go with the Polaroid company's decision to stop producing instant films...because it doesn't sound grim .. also i tend to romanticize things...
You see...it is my belief that when a person is in his deathbed .. and is just about to breathe his last... all the events in his life will play out for one last time before his eyes...Ala a movie and at the end he will be asked.. how did you like it? It really depends on the actors and the scenes in the movie right... I have played out my death scene in my mind umpteen number of times.. and the answer to the question has always been "I am Satisfied"... but how about the scenes and the actors... which is what i want to blog about... the people and the events which have moulded me... events which explain certain inhibitions that I have and those from which I draw strength.... events thinking of which my eyes well up or i end up grinning ...about people.. if i may borrow KB's favorite line.. "No man is self made. All of us are made of thousand others"... it will be about those thousand others..
I definitely want certain scenes to be present in my own little movie.. but like the old Polaroid shots ... which are frayed at the edges and discolored.... the shots in my memory are getting smudgy... that is why i wanted to put it down in writing to help me remember and make the movie one heck of an entertainer... I guess that explains the name of the blog... "Reminiscences.... Lest I forget to Remember".
